Living a healthy lifestyle can go a long way towards extending both the quality and the longevity of your life. Different paths can be taken to achieve optimum health and wellness in each of these areas; no one path is the only path. Medicine, religion, social interaction, and social order all contribute to the individual's ability to live a healthy lifestyle. Growing health costs like insurance and medical care are related to the excess amount of care needed by persons who neglect their health, such as the overweight persons who develop diabetes or heart disease. Many health problems and diseases can be avoided by living a healthy lifestyle.

Ample food intake, following nutritional guidelines that enhance physical and mental health, exercise to keep the body fit and working, and social connections will make a person happier and healthier, and bring to them the precious state of wellness. Life can be pleasant, comfortable, enjoyable, and long with health and wellness. It is well worth the time to discover the balance in one's life that offers the best possible outcome for staying healthy and living longer.
